The Souie Boo Blog: Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2014

The annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is indeed successful and amazingly beautiful. The lingerie collection is very elegant, classy and definitely lacey! The show was held in London last December 2, and was aired in CBS on the 9th. It has been definitely the sexiest night of the year!

Here are some of the highlights I have been collecting during, pre and post fashion show.

OVERALL REVIEW:

VENUE

The show was held in London and it was the first time that they did that. I was totally amazed with the runway because the backdrop screen continues on the runway. Literally, the runway is so perfect and matches the theme of the segment.

COLLECTION

I have to say, this is by far one of the best collections I have ever seen. The lingerie, corset and overall outfits are rad gorgeous. I love the laces on it and the combination of sweet and sexy in one lingerie outfit. I am also amazed with the wing ideas that they have especially for the Gilded Angels Segment. The details are very intricate and it seems unreal. How can a group of people do something like that?

PERFORMANCES

Taylor Swift (for the second time), Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande and Hozier performed in the show. Ed is totally his normal humble self, but his performance was really romantic and sweet. He made the 2 million dollar bras more dreamy. Ariana was totally cute and sexy with his two piece outfit, and the song remixes was also perfect. I really love how talented she is and how hair still looks perfect after a powerful sing and dance performance. Hozier (like Ed) was simple, but his performance for the song Take me to Church was completely and utterly beautiful. His voice on record and live was almost the same, the emotion was there, so thumbs up! Last but not the least, Taylor Swift is definitely perfect in and out (her outfit and voice). She performed for two segments. The first one is for Dream Girls where she sang Blank Space. Aside from her insane performance, her outfit which is a baby pink and black corset with lace designs and matching robe is sexy and sweet at the same time. She actually look like a VS model. The last segment, Angel Ball, is where Taytay performed Style (world wide premiere) and it completely blew me off. The song itself was very catchy and fun to listen to. Overall it was indeed a great show, thanks to our performers!

1ST SEGMENT: GILDED ANGELS

Let's not forget the one of the best collections I've ever seen. The "Gilded Angels" was all about gold and sparkles. The outfits looked magical and medieval, and of course very expensive. It showcased wings of the highest costing because the of the 24K gold painted on it (my jaw just dropped). My favorites on this part would be the forever stunning Candice Swanepoel and my goofy Behati Prinsloo who also opened the show for the first time (Way to go Bee!)

2ND SEGMENT: EXOTIC TRAVELLER

Few months before the fashion show, it was announced that the two Victoria Secret veteran angels, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio will wear the 2.5 million dollar bra for this year. Both of them are Brazilian bombshells and my personal favorites.

The bra and panty piece are so fabulous, with intricate designs and embellishments. It appeared on the segment, "Exotic Traveller", where they showcased vibrant colors on the runway. Ed Sheeran sang (OMG my favorite song ATM) Thinking Out Loud while the two models walk hand in hand. It was beyond beautiful and very natural.

3RD SEGMENT: DREAM GIRLS

Lily Aldridge opened the segment with her bestie, Taylor Swift singing Blank Space. The show was indeed dreamy with pink puffy detailing and laces on the lingerie. It was super sweet and the corset was so sexy and appealing. The last angel to close the show is also Taylor's best friend Karlie Kloss, who recently helped her in sending out holiday gifts (karlie kookie) to random fans.

4TH SEGMENT: FAIRY TALE

Ethereal, soft and sweet collection was showcased in this segment. It became more dramatic with Hozier in the background singing Take me to Church. I recently blogged about him and the song, you can check it out here! I personally love this segment because it seemed so relaxing and cool yet very elegant. The shoe details are amazing and creative, and the patterns they used are very unique. It reminded me of last year's snow angels but this time the designs resembles more like a butterfly.

5TH SEGMENT: UNIVERSITY OF PINK

I always look forward to this cute, sweet and fun segment, for the sub-brand Pink. The highlight was Ariana Grande being smacked down by Angel Elsa Hosk with her wings on the face. She then tweeted about the incident:

6TH SEGMENT: ANGEL BALL

The final walk is indeed by far one of the most beautiful dark collections especially with Taylor Swift singing Style on the background. The collection was a mix of puffy skirts and sexy black lingerie. Adriana Lima's outfit and wings caught my attention the most. The intricate details and woven patterns on her wings are very beautiful. It was a sexy piece yet Adriana looked young in it. The setting was also elegant and breath taking. It appeared like a shiny marbles, perfect for strutting those wings!
